Jon Bigony, Past President and Fire Commissioner

Jon Bigony, Past President of the Bowie Fire Department passed away last week. Mr. Bigony was also the Past President of the Prince George's County Volunteer Fire and Rescue Association. In addition, Jon also was a Fire Commissioner on the Prince George's County Fire Commission.

Jon joined the Bowie Volunteer Fire Department in 1981 after moving here from York, PA where he was also a Volunteer Firefighter.

There will be a wake today at McNamara's Barn in Bowie on Chestnut Avenue.

A funeral service will be held at the Assension Church on Lanam-Severen Road in Bowie on Thursday, April 21st. at 11 A.M.
